ubuntu 12.04 usb 3G modem not working
I have a ZTE MF190 3G Modem, service provider Reliance
I have been using it for the past 3-4 months with a few problems but repluging seemed to solve the connectivity issues.
but recently i installed or reinstalled udev as there was an exclamation mark next to it in Synaptic,
thikning that it would solve the problem but now its not,
On restart the modem is detected but google wont open
if i disconnect the modem Signal strength disappears and no bars r displayed
and reconnecting doesnt work at all
also the usb modem is not mounted under Nautilus or using > mount command
i tried :
1. sudo service network-manager restart
2. sudo ifdown -a and then sudo ifup -a
3. lsusb shows the ZTE WCDMA modem
but not in nm-tool
Also tried the soln below ... nogo
